Clinical Pregnancy Rate
Dr. Paraschos welcomed us, and from the first moment, we felt from the interest that he showed that he understood us. The IVF Center’s very high standards, the cordial and familiar environment, the scientific training of the team and, of course, Dr. Theodoropoulos made us immediately feel that the pregnancy test would be positive; we could not believe it. After so many failed attempts, hopes and distresses, we could feel that we were closer to realizing our dreams. During the pregnancy, I even feared that something could go wrong.
However, Dr. Paraschos who followed me throughout the pregnancy was always close to me, ready to answer my slightest doubts and to calm all my fears. Thank God, everything was fine, there were no complications and our little girl was born perfectly healthy. The feeling of holding your own child in your arms is indescribable. There are no words to describe the absolute happiness that I was feeling then. I would like to advise all couples who have not yet managed to realize their own dream of having a child not to lose hope. I recommend, without any reservations, from a personal and scientific point of view, that they contact Dr. Paraschos’ IVF center in Athens.”
I tried in Australia for three and a half years. I had two failures/transfers.
Whilst I was researching to find another IVF clinic, I realised that Greece is among the world leaders in IVF. They are world leaders and they should be definitely congratulated. They are at the highest level. I can compare Australia and Greece, having been through both experiences. And you can say that Greece are world leaders in IVF.
As I researched I was very impressed with the esteemed Dr Paraschos who has collaborated and worked with Hammersmith University, and his decision to come to Athens and direct EMBIO fertility centre. What was I was impressed with was the professionalism and prompt replies from EMBIO that cemented my decision to come to Greece as soon as possible. Not only did the midwife that I corresponded with and Dr Paraschos showed exceptional professionalism, but they also had a unique empathy with the situation I was in, me and all the women in the world. This is very rare to find in the medical field, to be professional, but feel empathy and have real understanding of what a patient wants and is really going through. And they gave me more than 100% support during the whole process.
Dr Paraschos and IVF Coordinator corresponded asap. Not only did they impress me with their system medically, but they also went out of their way to ensure that my arrival in Greece was going to be an easy process as well, and offered to even help with arriving, accommodation and everything else that you need.
Having arrived at the EMBIO Medical Centre I was equally impressed and reassured with the outstanding advanced medical facilities and technology. The service and care has left me lost for words and I congratulate them sincerely.
I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone anywhere in the world to come to EMBIO and see the great work at first hand and I wish sincerely all the best, because I understand there are many people like me out there. Don’t be scared, and if you have the capabilities, this is definitely worth a try for something sacred that you are all looking for.
I stayed for 11 days in Athens. It s important to stay for at least a week for your body to relax, then go through your transfer, then let your body relax again and get on your flight. It’s a very long flight from Australia (16 hours). If you’re coming from a very distant destination, it’s important to take at least a week for your body to relax and unwind. And you can also experience the unique beauty of Greece.
Hi there, EMBIO Team!
I want to thank especially Dr Paraschos for everything he has done for me, and of course, Miss Helen for their support and all consultation they've given to my mum.
My name is T., I was born at 32 weeks on 22 May, 2014 40cm 1300kg I got out of the incubator in three days but I am still in the hospital and my mum and dad travel 60 km every day to see me in the hospital, watching me grow until I can go home with my parents.
Another big thank you to Dr Paraschos and here's a picture of me.
Read here how my mum was able to get pregnant after an egg donation and a kidney transplant!
My sperm was good, good mobility, good quantity, but my partner did not have enough eggs due to premature ovarian failure. It has taken us 3 years trying unsuccessfully, and we had an insemination. All stimulations did not work.
We were registered on waiting lists for egg donation in France in 3 different hospitals close to where we live. You have to wait for 3 years for a donor free of charge. If you find the donor yourself, the waiting time will be reduced by 6 months.
At 38 and 39, we said we could not wait, and hospital TOURS 37000 mentioned two countries for egg donation, namely, Spain and Greece. The doctor there referred us to EMBIO clinic, because she had the opportunity to visit this clinic herself.
We sent emails to two clinics in Spain and two in Greece. We had quotes from 7000 to 10,000 euros in Spain, and from 4000 to 5000 euros in Greece. We had contacts with EMBIO (in Athens) and Iakentro (in Salonica).
I immediately rejected Iakentro, because they required a cash payment, which is prohibited by French law. We cannot pay more than € 3,000 in cash to a professional.
We planned to stay for 7 days, although three days were enough for the egg donation treatment.
My partner has a retroverted uterus and so the embryo transfer really hurt.
During the embryo transfer, 3 doctors in France took 45 minutes to 1 hour each to get the embryos into the right place in the womb. Dr Paraschos only took 3 minutes, as he realized the situation himself, and used a shaped tool to reach the bottom of the uterus.
I will never forget this common sense solution, and how Dr Paraschos has invented these tools by which he can see and reach the bottom of the uterus. It seems incredible how French doctors never thought of such things!
We had 6 embryos initially and 4 good embryos on the day they were transferred. The doctor said that, normally, there only remain one or two.
The relationship with the doctor is very good. You get the feeling of being treated personally in a private office, always in the presence of your IVF coordinator who speaks French excellently, on a PhD level.
We forgot about Spain because it was twice as expensive and we also had to pay for the cost of donor’s treatment. Once we realized we could not make external transfer and should pay cash, we had the choice between the two Greek hospitals.
Our choice was made in the process of 30 emails exchanged with Elena, the IVF coordinator, for 7 months. She was so involved in her responses that there could be no better choice for us. We knew we wouldn’t go anywhere else but Embio, even if we could find a cheaper clinic.
At 50, our son Ruben was born to our delight (October 2014) 2858g and 46 cm. A big thank you!
Earlier ... (April 2014)
At almost 61 and 50 years, we are pleased to announce the future BABY for late October 2014.
A big THANK YOU to all the Embio team.
A secretary at the Hospital Foch in Suresnes told us that they also had two ongoing pregnancies from Dr Paraschos at Embio, and a third woman under home treatment...
Again thank you and all the best.
I'm 41. I've tried in Italy. I did 3 ICSI with my own eggs and all failed, because the eggs were FEW and not good.
Then we found Embio and Dr. Parashos on the internet. We also searched in the Czech Republic and Spain. My husband preferred the Czech Republic, but I insisted for Embio Medical Center in Athens, because all the explanations given via emails were clear and all references on Dr. Paraschos have inspired me confidence.
And so last year we came to see, to speak, to know everything before we'd do it.
Dr. Paraschos is good, also the IVF clinic itself (Embio) gave us a good impression. I did the amh here , the transvaginal ultrasound, all blood tests and then I took the chance to do a mammogram as well, since I was there.
During the transfer, I was quite relaxed. It went well. Now I have a little ache, because the uterus is a bit reversed Four embryos were transferred. For the egg donation we needed to be in Athens for 3 days, but it was our choice to stay six days in all, to enjoy a little bit of Athens. We went to the sea, to the port of Piraeus, we saw Thission, everything a tourist would normally see in six days.
Because of my age (44), I’ve turned to embryo donation in Greece and more specifically to the clinic EmBIO Medical Center.
Result: 1 try, 1 pregnancy and a beautiful little boy in perfect health.
Apart from the financial aspect (admittedly significant because this clinic is much cheaper than Eugin in Spain, for example), I especially liked the careful monitoring and warm contact that I had with the people working there and this is important when we start with so much hope and apprehension all at the same time!
My IVF coordinator was Elena Tsiga who speaks both English and French, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask her: She’s lovely!
Good luck in your journey
It’s our 2nd try. Our first IVF attempt was in 2008 with natural IVF at another fertility clinic. I’m 39 years old and I haven’t had a baby so far due to tube problems. Both of my fallopian tubes are blocked. On top of that, my husband has oligoasthenospermia.
All the time we spent before going to Embio in Athens was 19 days for our visa. To get the visa we received an invitation letter from EMBIO.
The good thing was we didn’t lose any time in communication. Eleni, our IVF coordinator, communicated promptly for everything we needed.
In Vitro Fertilization is not so advanced in Algeria. We had met quite a lot of people who had been to Greece for their fertility treatment and came back with conception. So we researched and found out good things about EMBIO and Dr Paraschos. Also IVF prices are the lowest in Greece.
We chose to be in Athens from 23 September to 18 October, so we could do all the tests at EMBIO and not just the embryo transfer. Meanwhile we saw the Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis itself and a little bit of Athens.
