IVF Success Stories

We would like to share some inspirational true stories of just some of our IVF patients that struggled to reach success and with whom we have had the advantage to be both of service and encourage right from the beginning to the very end of their journey. Our patients are regular people, no different from you and us, who decided to opt for a different kind of IVF experience by combining travel and medical assistance in order to realize their dream: to start a family.

I was born after a kidney transplant and an egg donation!

Hi there, EMBIO Team!

I want to thank especially Dr Paraschos for everything he has done for me, and of course, Miss Helen for their support and all consultation they've given to my mum.

My name is T., I was born at 32 weeks on 22 May, 2014 40cm 1300kg I got out of the incubator in three days but I am still in the hospital and my mum and dad travel 60 km every day to see me in the hospital, watching me grow until I can go  home with my parents.

Another big thank you to Dr Paraschos and here's a picture of me.

Read here how my mum was able to get pregnant after an egg donation and a kidney transplant!

Dr Paraschos is brilliant at IVF!

I’m 45 and had IVF with my own eggs at Embio. This is my first try. I googled ivf clinics in Europe, saw the profiles of all the clinics and then I chose Embio because of Dr Thanos Paraschos’ profile and also the ivf cost at Embio.

I was told that I could start the treatment at home, but I decided to go and do everything at the clinic. The reason was I got needlophobia and I couldn’t inject myself. So I stayed almost 3 weeks in Athens and did everything there.

During the embryo transfer I didn’t feel any pain. It was like a smear test.

Dr Paraschos is brilliant! I can’t explain how good he is!  The IVF coordinator, she is the best! And Maria… they were so nice with me. All the stuff just brilliant! They really take care of you. They respond right away. Dr Paraschos replies to you quickly for anything you want to know.

Pregnant at 44 - The only clinic that gave us the options we wanted

This is my third IVF, and the first time here. The previous ones were in Toronto.

I was always told it was the egg quality due to the age factor. I’m 42 now.

Being a nephrologist, this is not my area of expertise, but as a physician I was better able to appreciate some things. EMBIO wasn’t the first IVF clinic we looked at. The analysis of data that I already had was the most accurate and realistic.

The response was immediate. Communications with the IVF coordinator were excellent given the time difference, and, in any case, within 24 hours.

One of the reasons we came to EMBIO, Athens was tandem ivf. It’s the first time we are doing donor in addition to our own egg.

It wasn’t difficult to decide. When you have two very good cycles in terms of embryos and genetic testing to support that there is something wrong, it becomes a question of whether you want to become a parent or not. Genetic analysis was not in our favor in the previous two cycles.

We chose to be here from day 1, there was an option to start things from home and come later, but we chose to be here 14 days in all.

After embryo transfer, I felt no pain. Everything went very smooth.  Our IVF coordinator said 3-4 days to take it easy, so of course, no swimming now.

IVF Experts in Greece

We looked at seven different clinics in six different countries and we evaluated the cost along with the knowledge and what they provided. And the Greek doctors have been wonderful. They had a lot of knowledge, which we looked at before we came to the clinic, just to make sure that we are going to a place where they know what they are doing.

The most important moments of our lives are closely linked with him...

In search of a gynecologist-obstetrician a few years ago, fellow doctors recommended him to my father, the general manager of the Military Hospital (ΝΜΤΣ) at the time, as the best gynecologist in Greece. Having prevailed in the medical world and to enjoy such wide acceptance undoubtedly reveals plenty in itself. What I would like to emphasize, from my own personal experience of having borne three children, is the complete faith I had in him to handle the risks and complications I encountered in all three of my pregnancies. I truly believe that he helped me as, judging from the result, all actions taken proved to be flawless and I also honestly feel that should I have gone to another gynecologist, I probably would have lost the baby. With him, I felt a sense of security and had all the confidence in the world that he not only knows his job extremely well, but also knows how to deal in difficult situations. The most important moments of our lives are closely linked with him and there simply are no words to express our immense gratitude.

Protector of People

We have wonderfull news.
On 28 Februar 2016 our miracle, our wonderfull son was born.

He is so lovely and sweet.
He has been born a little to early because I had terrible pain in my belly. Which they could not explain.
So the doctor decided to get the baby.
For a week he had long problems and he is still in the hospital but he can breath by himself since last Thursday.
Now his longs has to grow so I can give him breast milk before we can get him with us at home.

We love him so much and the feelings we have for him is everything and more they ever told.

We named him Alec.
A greek name for : Protector of People.

Of course when Alec will be at home we will send a picture of the 3 of us.

We cannot ever thank you enough for our little sunshine.

We are besotted with 3 beautiful healthy sons!

Dear Dr Thanos and Elena,
I am happy to let you know our triplets have arrived safely. They were delivered on 8 July 2016 at 34 weeks gestation in pristine health. We are besotted with 3 beautiful healthy sons. I spent 8 weeks in hospital when my membranes ruptured at 28 weeks. Amazingly i made it to 34 weeks. The boys were delivered via csection and spent 4 weeks in Neonatal intensive care. All 3 boys are beautiful and very handsome! We would like to thank you for making our dreams of a family become reality. We will be eternally grateful and hold you both in high esteem. We will forward some more photos for the wall in Dr Thanos office. Again thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We love you both very much.

Successful IVF with a sperm donor in Athens

Hi,
I am Christof from France.
I had a semen analysis in France, and there was a problem with my motility and the number of spermatozoa. Nothing was right.
We’ve been trying for seven years. We did 4 IVFs with my sperm and it didn’t work.
So we tried IVF in Spain with sperm donation, twice. It worked both times, but there was a miscarriage. We never learned what exactly didn’t work. So we decided to try Embio in Athens, because of the many positive comments about them in a popular forum for fertility treatments abroad.
We spent 10 days in Athens, as we wanted to do the IVF and have holidays at the same time. Our time in Athens was great with so much to see and visit.
Embio is a modern clinic, and the people are really nice.  Dr Paraschos is good. At each visit, he took a few minutes to talk with us. For me this was really important.
In France, in a big fertility hospital in Paris, after the 1st visit you are just a number and no doctor comes to see you.
