IVF Success Stories

I am Irina, I am 40 years old and for quite a few years my husband and I had a dream; to have a child. On Tuesday, I heard my baby's heartbeat for the very first time, a very powerful feeling, and all thanks to Mr Paraschos and Elena, Dr. Paraschos’ assistant, who is very nice and was available from the very first question I had sent to her on Viber.

They monitored me from a distance and were by my side every step of the way throughout the whole treatment while I was in Italy. We went to Athens only once for the transfer and everything necessary was sent to me by email. The clinic was very pleasant, with plenty of baby pictures on the walls, which give you hope. The doctor was very polite and discreet.

We made the right choice and we wholeheartedly thank the doctor, Elena, and the entire staff who were all very polite and professional.

I think that by talking about my experience at Embio Clinic, I can be of assistance to those who, like me, want to realize the dream of becoming mothers!!

The choice of a clinic, in my opinion, is never an easy task and once I was well informed, I decided to go to Embio clinic in Athens. They responded to my email very promptly, providing me with all the information I had requested, and with such courtesy, Mr. Paraschos's assistant Eleni, who speaks Italian very well, explained the complete process that we would have to follow...

On November 20th, last year, my partner and I decided to give this experience a try with them and so, left for Athens. It should not go without mentioning that, besides their kindness and courtesy, it was the clinic that requested the least amount of money compared in comparison to other clinics. As I said, on November 20th, we departed and personally met with Eleni and Dr. Paraschos (he also speaks Italian well), two wonderful people!!! I have to thank them since it is to them that I owe I am now going through the ninth week of my pregnancy on my very first attempt!!

I hope my experience can help another woman too and what’s more, I felt I had to recommend them and thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything!

In search of a gynecologist-obstetrician a few years ago, fellow doctors recommended Dr Paraschos to my father-in-law, who was the general manager of the Military Hospital (ΝΜΤΣ) at the time, as the best gynecologist in Greece. Consequently, having mastered such a feat in the medical world and to enjoy its wide-ranging acceptance undoubtedly reveals, in itself, a great deal.

What I would like to emphasize, from my own personal experience of having borne three children, is the complete faith I had in him to handle the risks and complications I encountered in all three of my pregnancies. I truly believe that he helped me as, judging from the result, all actions that were taken proved to be flawless and I also honestly feel that should I have gone to another gynecologist, I probably would have lost the baby.

With him, I felt a sense of security and had all the confidence in the world that he not only knows his job extremely well, but also knows how to deal in difficult situations. The most important moments of our lives are closely linked with him and there simply are no words to express our immense gratitude.

About a year and a half ago, without knowing you, I had to trust you for a difficult surgery and you gave nothing less than your best!

Few months later, on my first IVF attempt, I was pregnant with two little ones. And now, each and every time I look at them I think of you and I am forever grateful!

I conceived my first son naturally then we started trying for another baby and it didn’t happen. Then I had a miscarriage last year and then I had an IVF which failed, in Malta. I’m starting my 2nd attempt now in Greece.

It was easy. The most difficult part is the flight, because they only operate once a week directly to Athens, so I took an indirect flight through Rome. About an hour and a half each flight.

I had to be in Athens 11 days for the treatment. We went to the Acropolis, to nice restaurants at Plaka and Monastiraki.

I was tempted to go to the UK but I had a felling about Greece.

I was a bit nervous during the embryo transfer, now I’m just hungry. And waiting for the good news.

I live in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. I decided to come to Greece for fertility treatment, because of my age.

IVF and Age

I’m 46 years old. I’m a British lady, but because of my age, nobody was willing to treat me in Abu Dhabi, so I found the Embio Medical Centre through the internet, and I was really happy with all the testimonials that I read, the background, the professionalism, the expertise of the doctors and the nurses here.

Natural IVF Cycle

So I first came over here about two weeks ago just to familiarize myself with the Clinic and with the treatment.

I actually started my treatment 3 days ago. I’m here by myself. My husband couldn’t come with me.

I’ve been really happy with the treatment that I’ve had here. Everybody’s really looked after me. I was nervous when I first arrived. All my nerves disappeared when I was with everybody, took great care of me. The atmosphere is really nice. Luckily, so far everything is working out, so I’m back here today. I’ve seen the Doctor, the embryologists, all the nurses again.

I’m extremely happy with the treatment that I’ve had here.

So, I’m 46 years old. The treatment I’ve had here is actually to use my own egg.

I was encouraged by other people that I’d probably need a donor egg, but the Doctor here was happy that I could have a natural cycle. That’s what we’ve done so far that’s proved successful, and I’m very happy with the embryo that’s been produced.

The Embio IVF Clinic

The Clinic itself, well, it is in Athens, was very easy to find. I just got taxis here every day. Everybody knows it. It’s a 10 minute drive from Maroussi where I’m staying, while I’ve been here in Greece.

IVF Cost

The cost of the treatment was a big surprise to me, significantly lower than I was anticipating it to be, 1,500 euros for the natural cycle treatment, and I’m extremely happy with that.

The communications with Embio and with Dr Paraschos have exceeded all my expectations. This is the first time in 10 years that I have received such good customer care especially with regard to IVF treatment.  Dr. Paraschos has been extremely responsive. I understand that he is very busy coping with multiple demands and attending to patients all over the world, yet every time he writes to me, I feel as though he is giving me his undivided attention. Whatever the outcome of my treatment, I will forever remember this episode in my life as one where I gained access to a doctor of international repute and in which he responded to my every query.

Thank you very much Dr Paraschos. I am an international civil servant working for the UN. I see a number of women in similar circumstances and would be all too happy to recommend Embio to them.

My doctor, a gynecologist from Serbia, referred me to EMBIΟ Μedical Center to carry out the collection of oocytes and the embryo transfer.

I came to Greece with my husband and he provided the sperm.

The embryo transfer is like a regular gynecologic exam. I felt no pain, just a little discomfort.

Dr. Paraschos is extremely polite and friendly, very professional. The nurses have been communicating with me in very good English. There aren't any language barriers. Each nurse with whom I was in contact was very kind to me.

This clinic is top notch, not only in terms of appearance, but also regarding the behavior of staff.

Serbia is a big shortage of the drugs used after the embryo transfer, hardly any pharmacy in Belgrade has this type of medication. My doctor in Serbia found them for me.

 

I have a friend who has just completed her IVF course over Embio. She had 3 failed IVF cycles in the UK and now she’s pregnant as a result of her treatment at Embio.

I’m having a short protocol IVF with my own eggs (ICSI).

This is my first time.

We stayed for 6 nights in Athens.

The IVF coordinator was really helpful. It was quite easy to deal with her, she answered my questions via email and we spoke on the phone. The language barrier hasn’t been a problem. She speaks perfect English.

Dr Paraschos is very warm and friendly. Most of my correspondence before reaching Greece was done through the IVF coordinator, so I met Dr Paraschos once we arrived.

He’s worked in England with respected hospitals and respected doctors.

The clinic is very nice, clean, efficient.

The embryo transfer was really easy, straightforward, painless. A good experience.

I had IVF treatment because I want a fourth baby and I had PGD as well.

I read a lot about Dr Thanos Paraschos and I was keen on the success rates. Because, obviously it’s not free back in the UK.

Embio clinic is fantastic, very nice. Very well organized, I have to say. Dr Paraschos is a very nice man. If I had a friend who wanted a baby, I’d advise her to go to Embio clinic, because of my personal experience. Very good clinic.
