dr vasilis paraschos, fertility specialist of emBIO fertility center

We are proud to have Vasilis Paraschos as a member of our medical team. As a highly accomplished obstetrician and gynecologist, he brings a deep passion for helping patients build their families.

Meet Dr. Vasilis Paraschos

Dr. Vasilis Paraschos is a physician with extensive international experience in infertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART). His medical training and clinical work span both the United States and Europe (Athens, Greece), where he has combined advanced scientific knowledge with hands-on expertise in some of the most innovative and modern IVF environments worldwide.

During his time in the USA, Dr. Paraschos trained alongside leading reproductive endocrinologists and fertility specialists, gaining in-depth exposure to a wide spectrum of protocols and cutting-edge approaches in ovulation induction, oocyte retrieval, embryo culture, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and embryo transfer. He actively participated in the management of complex infertility cases, including recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as advanced treatments for women with diminished ovarian reserve, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and endometriosis. His clinical involvement also extended to male infertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles, and third-party reproduction programs, such as egg donation and surrogacy.

Since joining the EmBIO Medical Center in Athens—one of Europe’s most prestigious IVF clinics—Dr. Paraschos has further advanced his expertise, performing and supervising hundreds of IVF and IUI cycles annually. At EmBIO, he has played a key role in pioneering and applying state-of-the-art ovarian rejuvenation methods (including PRP, stem cell therapy, and growth factor protocols) while managing highly complex international patient cases.

Working closely with Dr. Thanos Paraschos —his father and a fourth-generation gynecologist— and the EmBIO team, Dr. Vasilis Paraschos continues the family legacy of excellence in gynecology and reproductive medicine. His approach is defined by individualized, patient-centered fertility care that attracts couples from Greece and around the world.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Paraschos is actively engaged in research, professional development, and teaching, contributing to the advancement of best practices in reproductive medicine. His unique combination of US-based training and his comprehensive experience at EmBIO in Athens, Greece, provides him with a rare perspective and skill set—ensuring the highest standards of safety, innovation, and success for his patients.
