IVF Success Stories

We would like to share some inspirational true stories of just some of our IVF patients that struggled to reach success and with whom we have had the advantage to be both of service and encourage right from the beginning to the very end of their journey. Our patients are regular people, no different from you and us, who decided to opt for a different kind of IVF experience by combining travel and medical assistance in order to realize their dream: to start a family.

..there are no such words enough to say our THANK YOU!

We think, that there are no such words enough to say our THANK YOU!

Yesterday we both cried as we read other testimonials
before we started to write ourselves ...

And well never understand how can it, that here in our country nobody wants to deal with us and far aways - 4 hours to fly with the plane.

You, Dr Paraschos and your team remember us and take care of us !!!

Thats why my husband didn't want to fly back this time - we saw and experienced totally another people - people, who have hearts people, who have another eyes, another smiles - natural people - so as they are - suffering, being happy, working, having holidays, dreaming AND LIVING WITH GOD!!!

If the God helps us and well get this child we would ask God to help us to have one more child...

With LOVE

We will always pray for Dr Paraschos...

There are people, who get children – gifts of the Lord in Heavens „just in time“.

There are people, who have to go through the hell to get examined and prepared before getting these gifts.

Many years we`ve been in such a hell – before we miraculously found in internet –
Dr Paraschos and got a treatment in his Embio Clinic in Greece in Athens.

Beginning from the very first step online as we left a voice message – our communication between Berlin and Dr Paraschos was always perfect.

Embio international coordinator Elena Tsiga was everywhere „with us“ answering in Englisch a lot of questions and helping us online, on the phone and live. Also during her vacation, when it was urgent!

In comparison to german doctors, who killed our last hope telling, that we`re too old, Dr Paraschos
did his best to motivate us and to treat us. We got his help and support before we were in Athens, during the treatment and AFTER the treatment.

It`s really great to know, that Dr Paraschos remembers us having so many patients and follows our next further steps - outsight the hell…

Who knows perhaps at the very beginning the Lord brought embrions from the universe on to the earth and life began to exist.

Gott bless all the children, who have to make such a roundabout way before they land on our planet.

We will always pray for Dr Paraschos, his Embio Clinic, his team and his patients!

Sylvie

Thank you again Dr Parachos to realize my dream at 48 with these two beautiful girls in good health. I am so grateful to you for having realized almost the impossible, for it had been more than 13 years since we were in different proceeding without success. My perseverance, determination and your great expertise were the key to success. Mostly each day, I tell my story to motivate many other couple to believe in it. I will never say enough thank you, and beautiful continuity with what you are doing.

Pregnant at 46 with donor eggs

I was 46 when I started IVF with donor eggs in Athens. It was not my first IVF. Before that I had already had several treatments in the Netherlands and Barcelona. In total, we had four failed IVF attempts. We were almost desperate.

Then, searching on the internet, I came by Embio and Dr. Paraschos. Dr. Paraschos is a highly skilled and extremely nice doctor, with a lot of empathy for his patients. He can make you feel at ease, and explains things well, so you feel confident that you’re in the right hands. You really feel like he listens to you and understands your problem. The IVF coordinator was extremely helpful and nice. She, too, is a very kind person. Their peaceful and understanding attitude was very reassuring.

The transfer was certainly not painful. There were four embryos transferred, and we had two healthy children. These were our first live-born children. We were – and still are – happy!

We basically had no problems during the IVF process, except that I had quite a number of attempts, and this time we decided would be the last one.

It was not hard to come by the ivf drugs in the Netherlands, though it was very nice that Embio could deliver the medication. That saved a lot of time in the Netherlands.

The difference between the treatment in the Netherlands and Greece was that you felt heard, compared to an ivf center in the Netherlands. But that may have been quite personal.

Right from the start, I felt that Embio was a fine ivf clinic. It looks nice and neat. Sometimes a room would be a bit cramped, and you’d wish for more privacy in your not so pleasant situation, but as a general experience, it was very nice.

Travelling to Athens wasn’t difficult. It wasn’t far from the airport. When we went out we could go around the city to do some shopping and visit nice places (obviously the Acropolis and the beautiful museum there, but we also visited the island of Tinos, which was very rewarding.

I would definitely recommend Embio and Dr. Paraschos to other women and couples.

A BFP after my 1st IVF attempt, and triplets after the second one!

Now that my children have grown up, I am grateful to God first and then Dr Paraschos, who was amazing. He is an amazing man and an excellent doctor!

On the first IVF attempt, I had my DD. Then I had a second attempt, to try and give my daughter a brother or sister, and there came the triplets!!!

I was prepared after my first hCG, as the results were too high, so I wasn’t shocked, but my husband’s jaw dropped when he saw the first ultrasound, and started counting sacs. I hadn’t prepared him for anything like that.

No problem in pregnancy with the triplets. And mind you, I had my little daughter to take care of, too, at the time, she was 15 months.  Everything was smooth for all four of us, and DH of course!

In Belgium the egg donor is not anonymous, the waiting list is too long

Hello ladies who want to become pregnant by means of egg donation! I want to share my story and my experience with you.

The reason my husband and I wanted to do egg donation does not matter, the fact is that my husband and I now have a beautiful healthy son of 4 months and are very proud and happy with him!

End of 2012, we decided to try. Egg donation. We were referred to this by my gynecologist, who suggested Belgium, but then we were told that in Belgium there was a long waiting list, and we did not have time. Moreover, in Belgium, the donor is not anonymous. Therefore, we continued to search the Internet for egg donation from an anonymous donor.

We then found EMBIO MEDICAL CENTER in Athens, Greece. I emailed Dr. Paraschos asking for information, and within a few hours, I got a personal response! We had a good feeling so we went on the path! We could say that we wanted a donor with a university education, various wishes could come true then. The donor looked like me, Embio finds a donor who looks like you. You get an egg donor profile. All "approved" donors go through an extensive testing process, to make sure they are free from all kinds of diseases, they've never smoked, no addictions, etc etc. All emails were in English. From the time of the 1st mail to the egg donation in May 2013, it took us 4.5 months. This could have been a lot erarlier if I had taken the tests at Embio. In the Netherlands I've had all kinds of examinations and tests at the hospital; that we had to pay all ourselves, since these tests are not reimbursed over a certain age. Also, my husband had one investigation, his semen should also be examined to see that it was "healthy".

About 6 weeks prior to egg donation I had to start medication and injections, which I ordered online myself from England, as this was simply a little cheaper than if I ordered it directly from Embio. Otherwise, Embio can send it to you. At first, I saw the whole thing as a mountain I had to climb. All those medications and especially the self-administration of injections. Looking back, it was all well done! The doctor's assistant showed me how to do the injections. I was afraid of any side effects, but I haven't been sick from the drugs.

Anyway, at last, there was the moment of transfer of four embryos. I use the word "moment", because I really felt absolutely NOTHING during the process! It was a strange idea, that suddenly there was something inside.

June 12, 2013, now back home, of course, we could do a pregnancy test: And yes, POSITIVE!! Wowww, we were pregnant! After the embryo transfer I had to keep taking the medication for a few more weeks. That was because I simultaneously had an ectopic pregnancy, fortunately in the abdomen, alongside my healthy pregnancy. So I ended up in the hospital, bleeding.  Apparently there was one embryo that managed to travel up in my fallopian tube and would grow there. (Too bad  the others couldn't make it)...

Anyway, I have never regretted it! We were always having our IVF coordinator, Dr. Paraschos' assistant, on our side. A fantastic, really sweet lady, who really showed a lot of patience answering every email with my many and sometimes impatient  questions.

All in all, we are now very happy with our son! Our son will not be put in an agonizing path, asking who his biological mother is, since egg donation in Greece is from anonymous donors. When the time is right and when our son is old enough, we're possibly going to tell, but we do not know for sure yet.

I just wanted to share my experience. In short, we were very pleased with the great service from EMBIO MEDICAL CENTER in Athens, Greece. Hats off to Dr. Parashos and our IVF coordinator! : Applause:
