Secrets to a quick pregnancy!

All the secrets to a quick pregnancy!

The desire to have a baby intensifies when the goal is not achieved and as a result, the couple is overwhelmed with anxiety and frustration.  The additional stress "sabotages" the effort, exacerbating the problem, which in any case, can be overcome.  The following tips can help you speed up the pregnancy and overcome any obstacles.

Do not be in a hurry. It is important to know that when a couple starts trying to have a baby, the chances of conceiving monthly are only 20%.  This is reduced to 10% if the woman is 35 years old and 5% if she is over 40.  So, do not be disappointed and feel anxious if you do not manage to get pregnant in the first few months.  Also, avoid comparisons with other couples since each case is unique and differs.

Find the right fertile days. Given that in a cycle of 28-30 days, the fertile ones are the days close to the 14th day of the cycle, therefore, you should always seek intercourse every month from the 11th to the 19th day of the cycle.  But, if the woman's cycle is longer, the fertile days are pushed a little forward. You should not, however, avoid intercourse for the rest of the days as well.

The frequency of intercourse with the highest possible success rate for conception is every two to three days. Generally, though, the couple should enjoy intercourse and not see it as a struggle and effort to conceive only. If the couple feels burdened by the stress of conception, it is advisable to consult a specialist.

If the woman does not have a regular cycle or has menstrual anomalies, she should definitely visit her gynecologist and inform him/her about her desire to become pregnant. The gynecologist can investigate the causes as to why her cycle is unstable and suggest the appropriate treatment that will help lead to a quicker conception. For example, a frequent complication that causes an unstable menstrual cycle is polycystic ovaries, a common problem in Greek women that can be the cause of infertility. When diagnosed, it can, however, be treated so that it does not serve as an obstacle for pregnancy.

Do not neglect a visit to your specialist. An annual visit for a pap test and gynecological examination is imperative for all women, even more so if there is a desire for pregnancy. In fact, it would be advisable to expedite a gynecological check up if there are plans to become pregnant. This is because inflammations or other gynecological problems such as fibroids, polycystic ovaries and polyps can prevent conception. Many problems of such can be asymptomatic, however, they must first be identified and then resolved in order for the doorway to conception be open and achieve a normal, successful pregnancy.

Do not prolong your visit with your specialist. If the couple has been trying to conceive for twelve consecutive months and has not achieved pregnancy, the couple should schedule a visit to a fertility specialist without delay to investigate possible causes where the specialist can suggest appropriate treatment. This rule applies to young couples as well. However, this time span is reduced to six months, as opposed to twelve months, if the woman is 40 years of age and older. It is a mistake, though, to assume that infertility problems do not apply to couples who are young in age.

Stay united. If conception is delayed, both parties should contact the specialist and not just the woman, since in about 50% of cases, the cause of non-conception is male infertility. That's why it is important for the couple to turn to a reputable assisted reproduction center to provide their personal medical history and simultaneously have whatever causes for difficult conception looked into. Thus, no precious time is lost and the chances of finding the cause of infertility are secured and ultimately, successful treatment increased. In any case, staying united in this effort helps a great deal from a psychological point of view.
