Εξωσωματική γονιμοποίηση σε φυσικό κύκλο

Φυσικός κύκλος εξωσωματικής ειναι η θεραπεία στη στην οποία γίνεται συλλογή ενός και μόνο ωαρίου από την ωοθήκη χωρίς την προηγούμενη χορήγηση ορμονικών φαρμάκων διέγερσης. Τα τελευταία χρόνια χρησιμοποιούμε τον ανταγωνιστή Cetrotide η Orgalutran όταν το ωοθυλάκιο φτάσει τα 16mm και την μεταμεσονύχτια ένεση HCG (Pregnyl, Ovitrell).

Η ανάπτυξη του ωοθηλακίου παρακολουθείται με υπερηχογράφημα και όταν κρίνεται πως το ωάριο έχει ωριμάσει προγραμματίζεται η συλλογή του.

Η πιθανότητα εγκυμοσύνης είναι χαμηλότερη από εκείνη που προκύπτει από τις προσπάθειες εξωσωματικής με φάρμακα, αλλά είναι μια καλή επιλογή για τις γυναίκες που παρουσιάζουν φτωχή ανταπόκριση στη διέγερση ακόμη και με μεγάλες δόσεις φαρμάκων.
